High and low temperature errors for June have been audited and loaded into the Drilldown and Compare products. The Year-To-Date numbers have also been updated. To ensure total quality of the statistics, the
ForecastWatch team uses a web-based auditing tool to look for data anomalies and correct them. This tool is also used as part of the Quality product, which helps weather forecasting companies perform quality assurance testing on their web-based forecast products.

By popular demand, the summary maps are now clickable! Clicking on an area on the map will now take you to that state's summary page. No more scrolling through the full list of 50 states, plus D.C.
In our "More to Come" section, we talk about features and products that will be added soon. This month, we are highlighting our daily product. For some, a monthly summary is not enough. Having a daily snapshot of forecast bias is important and beneficial information to have. The daily product will give forecasters and those who depend on forecasts a new, more "real-time" tool to use.
Take a look at this animated map:

The animation shows a 10-day rolling average of one-day-out high temperature forecast error from March 1st to June 30th for a single forecasting company. It is a cool animation, but it is also helpful to see how forecast bias changes over time. As always, blue means the forecast was lower than the actual, red means that it was higher.
