The February 2026 aggregations are complete and available within ForecastWatch Online. Don’t look at your calendar, it really is the 5th, not the 15th. This is part of the extensive optimizations and migration to PostgreSQL 18 that we have performed over the last year.
Additionally, we started collecting a few new forecast providers on February 1, so they will start showing up next month:
- DWD, for Germany — The national weather service for Germany
- AEMET, for Spain — The national weather service for Spain
We are also using the OpenMeteo open-source software to pull in 5 base forecast models into daily forecasts:
- ECMWF IFS HRES
- ECMWF AIFS
- NCEP GFS
- DWD ICON Global
- GEM Global
These are all using the base global models, not, for example, a “seamless” version like with DWD ICON, which has higher-res versions for Europe and an even higher-res version for Germany.
